Our Construction
M	(If all the pictures do not load the first time, just "refresh" your page to see more.) Our Dental Home came to Marshfield in the summer of 2008. Since we wanted something more inviting and comfortable than a typical dental clinic, we were delighted to find a charming home with a floor plan that we could adapt for our purposes. Even the yard had been lovingly cared for. (The iris pictures featured in this website were all taken there.) The location was ideal--just west of the Marshfield WalMart on Hwy 38. We couldn't have asked for a more convenient location, yet with beautiful country views! Inside, a lot of renovation was needed though. The destruction part--necessary, but a bit unsettling, made everything appear worse. Then construction started replacing the destruction. Then we learned that the new wiring would require even more to be taken out first, so destruction resumed until we were down to "bare bones": The new windows were installed which brought in a lot more light. We thought that our patients would prefer a pretty outdoor view instead of a wall, while having their dentistry done. Meanwhile, an addition to the back was built. New plumbing and electrical work replaced the old. The roof was removed and a new roof installed. After the new insulation and drywall were placed, ceilings were finished, tile was laid, and walls were painted. The carpet, doors, and trim started to give everything a more "finished" look. The finish work continued as the dental equipment started to be installed: Then, our sign went up. (You can see WalMart in the distance.) Now, the finishing details... We hear regular comments from our patients about how peaceful our office feels. That was what we were hoping for. It seems that everyone comments about the windows. We are so glad we decided to make sure each room had a pretty view instead of just a wall. We still have a few pictures left to hang, and a couple more small details to finish, but now we are quite happy to turn our focus to our patients--the whole reason for all of it!
